Brahminy Kite

The Brahminy Kite belongs to the family Accipitridae, which also includes eagles, buzzards and harriers. It is also called - Red-backed Sea-eagle in Australia. They are found in Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia and Australia. They are mainly found in coasts and inland wetlands. They feed on dead fish and crabs and occasionally hunts live prey such as hares and bats.
