TG Halli reservoir - Location
TG Halli reservoir is not open for public. Permission from the forest dept., is required to enter the premises. Some of the birds spotted include Oriental Skylark, Green Sandpiper, Common Kestrel, Little ringed Plover and so on.
Hebbal Lake - Location.
Hebbal lake is open to public. In the morning, between 10 - 6, there is a small entry fee that is charged. Some of the birds spotted include Snake bird, Sun bird, Common Coot, Brahminy Kite, Egret and so on.
Rampura Lake - Location
Located near Rampura village, this available for bird watchers at all times. Some of the birds spotted in Rampura Lake include Brown Shirke,Jungle Prinia, Cormorant, Little Grebe and so on.
Hoskote Lake - Location
The Hoskote lake is situated 30kms from Bangalore and is open to public at all times. Some of the birds spotted in Hoskote lake include Yellow Wagtail, Spot billed duck, Marsh Harrier, Grebe, Pied Bushchat and so on.
Indian Institute of Science - Location
Indian Institute of Science has more than 150 bird species that have been spotted. Permission is required to enter the premises.Some of the birds spotted in IISc campus include Shikra, Green bee eater, Ashy prinia, Red-whiskered bulbul and so on.
The Valley school - Location
The Valley school area is one of the most popular places for birding. Birding is not allowed inside the school premises, but the area outside the school is also home to many birds. Some of the birds spotted in the Valley School include Oriental White Eye, Coppersmith Barbet, Rufous-bellied Babbler.
Turahalli forest - Location
Turahalli forest is a small forest area off Kanakapura road. Many rare species of birds can be spotted here. Some of the birds spotted are Wagtail, Great Horned Owl, White Eyed Buzzard and so on.
Nandi hills - Location
Nandi Hills is around 60km from Bangalore. The place is famous for raptors, thrush, flycatchers. Birds spotted in Nandi hills include Oriental White Eye, Scaly Breasted Munia, Jungle Fowl and so on.
Banneraghatta National Park - Location
Situated 22kms away from South Bangalore, the Bannerghatta national park is home to many birds. Some of the birds spotted in Bannerghatta National Park are Goldfronted leafbird, Common Kestrel and so on.
